LANSONES FESTIVAL
Camiguin celebrating lansones festival every 3rd week of October, it is their beliefs from their ancestors that the lansones festival started when the couple have wished to grant a child in a fairy living in a lansones tree. Who therefore took back their son when the fairy have taken the spirit of the young boy in replacement for being so forgettable to thank the said fairy, so the offering and rituals have took place honoring the fairy and the couple have granted in a second time to win back their son, so the celebration have started on that day. Until such time the ritual have celebrated annually to commemorate the ceremony of their great ancestors honoring thanks to the Gods for their bountiful harvest.
The commemoration of festival usually held in a one week celebration, it shows the rich cultural diversity of the island. Camiguin, Places
BLAZING SKY
It was a short visit from a small white sand island of camiguin we were in our way back to the main land when the sky begun to show the beauty and its color, i waste no time to take this moment. I was in a boat ride tried to capture the best as i can while in motion, it is so amazing when the golden hour shows the true beauty of the world.
The travel would only took us 15 minutes ride in a semi rough tides. After we disembarked from a small boat, I spotted a good view to take this photo, Camiguin have a lot of beautiful spots if you are a nature lover.
A small boat good for four persons, we rented to take us into the small white sand island a part from the mainland of camiguin, it might take you 15 minutes ride, it depends in the weather for the roughness of the waves but it is safe enough just wear your life vest.
Lanao Del Norte
LINAMON
Is a Municipal of Lanao Del Norte province located in Northern Mindanao. Its boundiries are divided by Lanao Del Sur province in the south, Bukidnon in the east and Iligan City in the north. Five Municipalities of this province are Kauswagan, Maigo, Kulambugan, Bacolod and Linamon a boundery of bridge that links to Iligan City.
The province of Lanao was divided into Lanao Del Sur and Lanao Del Norte on July 04, 1959 with the passage of Republic Act 2228. Text from Province of Lanao Del Norte blog
Lanao provinces is rich in cultural diversity, where Christians and Muslims lives harmoniously. Unlike from what we have heard in the news, not all parts of Mindanao were affected of the arm conflicts. This part of municipalities of the province is peaceful and crimes were just an isolated incidents.

This is usually seen in some part of Mindanao, they called it "MARANG" it is similar to a jackfruit. There is no taxi available in Lanao Del Norte, you can go from point to point by commuting through a jeepney or you can get a ride by single type passenger motorcycle.
Iligan City, Mimbalut Waterfalls
MIMBALUT FALLS
Second on my list... Actually Mimbalut is an accessible waterfalls you can visit 250 meters away from the national highway, single motorcycle or habal-habal for hire are available in the area . You don't have to pay more physical effort to see this beautiful cascading waters. It is now developed as a resort, upon entrance you just have to pay an affordable amount good enough for an experience you can acquire.
Developer have already put some cottages and concreted the area to make it a pool. No hassle if you look for a food and drinks, they have short orders to serve. You can also bring foods of your own, if you bring your family for excursion.
Mimbalut is one of the numerous waterfalls you can find in Iligan, others have required more challenges and extra effort for it's hard to reach in a remote areas and some are located in the middle of forested mountains of Iligan. This is an evident why this City has been called a City of Majestic waterfalls.
Iligan City, Maria Cristina Falls
MARIA CRISTINA FALLS
The last waterfalls I have visited for that day. A gigantic beauty, that's how I described this Majestic waterfalls. Visitors are highly prohibited near the falls as I planned also to ask for permission to take photos near the falls but the authorities didn't allowed me, as they explained that some how when the dam releases, water gets bigger in volume and deeper. The area is now under development, a plan to put more tourist attractions in the area. Both ecological diversity and development have already on its plan on how to make it a protected.
HYDROELECTRIC PLANT
Powered and flows by Agus river and potentially can produce 200 megawatts of electric, supplied by 130 cubic meter per second of water. This is the main source of the City's electrification and other neighboring provinces.
